The Maryborough City Whistle Stop volunteers maintain and operate the Mary Ann replica steam locomotive, manage our Railway Station Museum and work towards the preservation and restoration of the B15 steam locomotive #299.
We are located in the city of Maryborough, Queensland and aim to preserve our rich, local history of locomotive building and engineering. We also give visitors to our region the unique experience of riding in carriages pulled by the full-sized, working replica of the Mary Ann steam locomotive.
The Mary Ann Steam Train operates on the following days...
- THURSDAYS (Hritage Market Day in Maryborough) between 9AM - 12PM.
- LAST SUNDAY OF MONTH 9AM - 12PM
Fares (from 1 July 2024)
Thursdays – Children $3.00, Adults $5.00, Family $12.00.
NB – Family refers to 2 ADULTS and CHILDREN UNDER 16 YEARS.
The Maryborough Railway Museum contains a small, but remarkable, collection of railway memorabilia and is located in the Railway Complex in Lennox Street, opposite St Paul's Anglican Church. The Museum is now open each Monday to Thursday 9am - 12.30pm. Entry fee is $2.00 for each person.
Maryborough City Whistle Stop Inc. is the custodian of the B15 Steam Locomotive #299 and is stored in the old heritage listed Railway Goods Shed.
